How to Handle Negative Comments or Creepy Messages
Creator Dashboard – How-To Guide #14
Not all attention is good attention. As a creator, you may occasionally face rude, creepy, or inappropriate messages. You don't have to tolerate it—and you shouldn't. Here's how to stay safe, sane, and in control.

1. Don't Take It Personally
- Negative comments say more about them than you.
- Delete, ignore, and move forward.
- Your content is not for everyone—and that's okay.
2. Block or Report Immediately
- Use the platform tools to block anyone who crosses the line.
- Report abuse, harassment, or suspicious messages—don't wait.
- You don't owe anyone a response.
3. Set Boundaries Publicly
- Pinned post idea:
- "Kindness only. Disrespect = block."
- When you model your limits clearly, most fans will follow them.
4. Use Auto-Replies and Filters
- Set up polite auto-messages in DMs:
- "Thanks for your message. I'll reply when I can. Creeps get blocked."
- If tools are limited, copy/paste standard responses or ignore completely.
5. Take a Break If You Need It
- Protect your peace.
- Log out for an hour, a day, or a week—your fans will still be there.
- Mental health first, always.
